remember you live next to a large wooded area...a very small portion of which has only recently been developed, the critters are still there and they can't roam around as freely as they used to, they have to eat, so naturally they're going to be more active after dark....street lights aren't going to keep those critters off the path. There's bear, bobcat, gators, coyotes, snakes, raccoons, muskrats and bunnies all over the place at night...and let's not completely 'pooh-pooh' the folklore about "big Foot's cousin....that mysterious Florida creature known as 'the skunk ape'

They need to add some lights out there. In my opinion.
Totally agree with you. Not just for dark evenings but also for rain & fog, that can come on after one has started their journey. Other paths are near streets with lights. That area over the bridge, on the CC side, is not.

The MMP that follows the turnpike on the way to the Waterlilly bridge is also without lights. The alternate route is along the streets of Marsh Bend and Da Luna which are lighted. Could one not take the streets in Chitty Chatty and Bradford if they do not like the unlighted MMP at night?

Best explanation yet.

The steets are blocked off with villages fencing. I did attempt to get onto the road when I saw the path was dark, but the curb was high and I didn't want to risk my tires.

I consider the paths everywhere to be part of the nature area we live in. We are the interlopers to their homes. Not the other way around. If you are scared of riding at night then don’t do it.

Yes, they should have some lights, and probably they will in time. But were you walking? Don’t you have headlights on your golf cart? A flashlight? What are you afraid of? Often, the places with the most lights are the most dangerous.

And have you ever seen the Milky Way? You won’t see it in the presence of street lights. It is worth the darkness!

I have no fear being out at any hour in the residential areas of TV, we are living in one of the safest communities in the country. Now in the parking lots in the town squares and the shopping plazas, it is a different thing. Parking lots at night are prime hunting grounds for thugs looking to steal your wallet or car. Thankfully that hasn't been a problem here and I hope it stays that way.
Lights on the cart trails are a waste of money and electricity, that is why you have headlights. If I owned a house with a cart trail in my back yard I wouldn't want lights shining into my windows at night when trying to sleep.
