Patti and Gary,
We like you are retired teachers. We are closing on our house on March 2nd in the Santibel Village. As you, I was concerned with the "sinkhole problem".
I had (in Illinois) coverage with AAA. I was happy with it here so I investigated getting it in Florida as well. Through the process we discussed sinkhole coverage. Our agent had to "explore" if we could get it. She almost said that "if we will need it we won't be able to get it and if we don't need it we can get it"! After research I was able to add the coverage for around $100.00 additional a year. I thought well worth the "piece of mind" coverage.
What model are you looking at? What Village? What did you teach? Pat is/was a reading specialist and I worked with special needs students. Hope this was helpful and hope to hear from you. We are getting out of here next Saturday!

Sorry for hijacking the thread. I will be the only resident left in Illinois over age 50 after March 1. All the 50+ people from Illinois are heading for TV!

We are two of the folks leaving IL. Next Saturday to be exact. To anwer the original post - I have not seen my wife as excited as she is today in the last 30 years. Me too! Moving to TV has to be like living in Disney Land, your favorite resort, your favorite cruise ship and your best dream ever all rolled into one. It's not perfect. Gracie please don't hit me. But we spent 15 years looking and it is the closest thing to it. And I'm not even sure what could be done to improve it.

Schaumburger - hopefully you will be down soon!

Oren, I know you and Angie are departing the bankrupt, cash-strapped state of Illinois shortly leaving me to rescue the state from it's financial woes. Have a very safe trip to FL. There are no major snowstorms predicted for the Chicago area this week, so hopefully you will encounter good weather on the drive to FL. I will be back in TV to rent in June, and I will send Angie a PM before I arrive.
