O.P. can rest assured that 115,000 villagers are not here because we're stupid or don't care if we have quacky doctors.

It's like anywhere else: you do your homework, get a primary doctor you trust, and if needed, go to the specialists the primary and others recommend here in the TV area. If it's something rare or other specialists can't handle it, Gainesville, Orlando and Tampa are all and hour or hour and a half away by car.

I totally agree. Almost everyone moves to TV to live and not be in GOD's waiting room for those who move to a more quite retirement community.. I am sure some people have medical problems but the majority are very active and really enjoy the lifestyle.

Four saddest words are, "it might have been".

I think that 115,000 can't be wrong!!! :smiley:

Ah a day off and time to check into TOTV. Glad to see everyone still commenting. Have talked to some insurance companies, county tax people, friends that do live in TV, etc., etc., still contemplating and it's not easy. The good is GREAT and the other stuff....not so much. As I've said before guess I could just travel or hop a plane if the needed specialist for whatever might ail ya is not available.
LOL, having trouble with starting happy hour at 3:00 PM though. Need to do some advanced training before getting there!
Oh and remember, what do they call a doctor who graduated last in their class......doctor.
