Smile Visiting in December

Good Morning Everyone,
I am Bev and my husband Dave will be visiting for a Lifestyle Preview in mid December and can hardly wait. Husband is retired Navy and we are contemplating a move not only location wise but lifetsyle. I have thoroughly enjoyed reading posts from everyone regarding TV's and hope that I might learn much from residents to help decide if we should make this plunge.. As is with most that move selling our home is a priority and downsizing our "stuff" so that life can be less cluttered! That can be a chore but one we are already beginning. I hope to chat with you all and look forward to all comments and tips you each may have to offer.
Ready for 2012

There are many threads on what to do on your lifestyle preview to maximize your experience. Here are a couple -- Lifestyle Preview Report Info needed for first visit. Without a doubt you will have a great time and it is almost guaranteed you will develop an overwhelming desire to buy in TV. Good luck and have fun!

to TOTV.

It sounds like your thinking the right thoughts. Decluttering is the right thing to do when selling a home. Downsizing is a good idea as we get older as their is less to take care of. A LSV will help decide if it's right for you.

Be prepared to be blown away by the beauty of TV. It's people too.

Have fun and I always like to hear your thoughts after the LSV.

Default Downsize

As my friends here said" It will all seem a bit complicated " Or a Mess" but it gets better and better.

The Downsizing is the best advise I can give you. I was not listening!
(Typical Male ) ,

My wife had me return for a visit. We measured rooms talked to the wonderful people already established here and we drove neighborhoods in the Golf Cart.

We observed garage after garage packed full of " STUFF"

I went home and started selling giving away and heaving 40 years of " Stuff" If I had not looked at it or used it in the last three years it went bye bye.

Enjoy you visit .

Good Day to you Bev & Dave. Just so you know you can't believe everything you've heard about The Villages.....You have to see it, then you'll believe it all. Truly is amazing and enjoyable. Have a wonderful time during your stay. Good luck on downsizing.

Thank you all...I will be sure to post about our visit..With 2 dogs, boxer and frenchie on nearly 4 acres( partially fenced) its going to be necessary to look at the Courtyard Villa's...so I am hoping we will find they are roomy enough and suitable for the dogs..We have seen a number of models of CYV and PV's. And knew right away only the CYV's would work between the 2 types.
Looking forward to chatting with anyone on their experiences and such living in TV's..Hope you are having a Great Day!!

Ebsmom, Welcome to TOTV! I hope your visit to The Villages in December is very enjoyable! Frenchie -- would that be a French Bulldog? Keep reading TOTV and posting questions -- there are many wise and friendly people who post on this board.
