What a day.... closed yesterday and today moved in and had all the furniture delivered etc. Then had to shop for the million little items you need for the house and kitchen. I am surprised they have not turned off our credit card yet.
Cable and TV tomorrow and then rest all day Sunday. Glad to be here!

How exciting and nerve racking all at the same time!

In the beginning we tried to do EVERYTHING ASAP but soon realised it would not be done in a day/week/month so give yourself a break, everything will sort itself out in due course.

I have found it handy to have my checkbook handy when setting up a house.

I have been here seven months and I am still doing things needed, around the house. You won't get done in a week, so it's best to do things at a relaxed pace, and enjoy yourselves. Trying ot do everything in the first week or two, will lead to burnout.

Thanks for all the comments. Most of the major stuff will be done by this weekend. But we have to find some lamps... its dark in here at night! I wish Home Depot or Lowes was closer to the South End (Brownwood). Someone mentioned that there is an ACE on Hwy 44?
