Default Florida Citizens Insurance

Has anyone purchased sinkhole insurance from the State of Florida's
Citizen's Insurance? This would include both types of sink hole insurance.
If you have, could you share what the cost was?

thank-you

Citizens Insurance is available only as an insurance of last resort and therefore would not be available in The Villages as there are other alternatives.

What do you mean by "both types of sink hole insurance"? I have sink hole insurance and pay $99 per year with $500 deductable but not through Citizens.

By "both types" the OP probably means catastropic ground collapse and sinkhole insurance. The first is covered automatically in the HO policy, the second is an endorsement added to the HO policy for an additional premium. This is the coverage that insurance companies are declining to write.

To clarify for Shimpy, people may assume that becuase they have catastrophhic ground collapse, this includes and also means sinkhole coverage. It does not and as Carla points out they are both very different.
