Rita Canty with Brightway Insurance out of Jacksonville - (904)646-1850.

Our policy on our patio villa in Duval was underwritten by Security First Insurance Co. through them just over a year ago. Brightway currently represents 41 of the 44 "admitted" (ie. approved by the state) companies that underwrite H.O. insurance in FL. Other insurance agencies only work with a few companies.

And, if you'e not familiar with sinkholes, be sure to ask about that when talking to an agent. You can click on "search" above, type in "sinkhole" and find out all about them.

Sheri Miller at Villages Insurance on Delmar at Spanish Springs. We pay $503 a year for a CYV with sink hole and wind damange. Go to the top of this page and search Homeowners Insurance and you'll see a thread from every month for the past couple of years. It's a very common question.

We thought The Villages insurance was very competitve, comprehensive and convenient. We used Stacee Schroeder in Colony Plaza

home owners insurance is much different here...a few years ago it was worry about hurricanes now its sink holes...my policy is up for renewal and it's going up $230 to $850...make sure if you have a golf cart get a separate policy for that....no rider add on

I went with The Villages Insurance Agency. I checked others, and all wanted to send out an inspector before they would write sinkhole coverage. They wanted $90, non-refundable, just to do the check. The policy through The Villages Insurance Agency didn't require an inspection. Their rates were reasonable.

Radioman, what was the insurance company that actually issued the policy - ASI, Security First, etc.? (The Villages Insurance was the agency that represented the company)

Thanks!

ASI is the underwriter and Ark Royal is the insurance carrier. Appears they are out of Saint Petersburg, Fl. Hope this info helps. Dick

Make sure you check on what the deductibles are. It's my understanding that sink hole detuctibles are going to be high.
