We closed on our house in December & have not received our census yet. Calling their hotline only gets a recorded message. Anyone know of a way to expedite the bureaucratic machine? We want to be counted for the Villages.

We closed on our house on November 5th, and have not received a census. We figured it was because our address is too new, and is not on file anywhere. I'm sure they will be knocking on all the doors of the new homes around here!

Must be either:

1) You're too new here

or 2) It's another government snafu. Which I say because I got two - that's right, two - questionnaires, almost two weeks apart!

or 3) Both

Ah, well, we all know, this too shall pass!

As I posted on this thread (Census Forms ) this AM. I didn’t get mine either so it is a problem all over the country.

We haven't gotten ours here in the Puget Sound area either.
Went on the web. The news sites say that many didn't get forms. No one who uses a post office box got one as they use physical addresses. Many addresses for new areas were not in their database. That does not explain my situation house is over 30 years old. The Gov site says if you don't get one by the 12th of April call their help line.

I visited the gentleman manning the Census Bureau booth at The Villages Library on Belvedere and Parr Rd. He stated that there is a mailing going out now that should cover all new homes, as long as the information ws recorded by the county as of March, 2010. He also stated that if we don't get the mailing by Monday, April 12th, we should stop up/down/over and see him to pick up a 'blank' census form. He (or someone) is there Monday thru Friday from 1 to 4pm. Hope this answers your question.

I think that it's a conspiracy. We are the members of the community who pay our tax's, vote for a truthful candidate. They don't want to find us, therefor give benefits to those who would vote for a Pelosi.
