Default Greyhound owners

Jim and I have two adopted greyhounds. Would enjoy meeting other greyhound owners.

Janet, I just did a search on greyhounds & found your note. My husband & I also have 2 adopted greyhounds but won't be down there for another year (just purchased a lot). Will be happy to meet some other "retired racers" & their owners!

Default There's a Villages' Club for greyhound owners.

I believe I have seen some of these dogs at Lake Sumter Landing as well as at Doggie Doo Run Run. http://thevillagesgreyhoundclub.org/...20Pictures.htm

Taltarzac - thanks very much for the links! Looks like we'll be in good company. Their website also had some vets listed which is great to know about before heading down! Thanks again!

We adopted a greyhound from Florida about 14 years ago. She was the gentlest, friendliest pet we have had. She passed away about 2 years ago at the ripe old age of 14 years. We had fenced our back yard for her but where do you let them run down there.

They have 3 fenced-in dog parks throughout TVs. There is 1 section on the Spanish Springs side where some of the homes were allowed to put fences around their yards as an experiment. We can only put bushes around our yard to create a pseudo-fence effect. Fortunately our lot backs up to a villa wall which will help. Our 2 Greys are 10 & 12and aren't interested in running anymore. You should adopt another 1 when you move down. We've had 10 & don't plan to stop - they are wonderful pets!! Congratulations on your Buttonwood move (soon)!
