Default Hello to All

I have been lurking around the forum since November but its time to participate seeing as we will be coming to TV in September for one day. I know thats not enough time but it is a start.

We plan to arrive early and spend the whole day/evening there. We are going to look at some cy villas in the morning and then take the trolley tour in the afternoon. We would like to eat dinner at one of the restaurants and then head over to one of the town squares.

Here are a few questions for you.

1.) Do you have any suggestions of other things we should do or see?
2.) What would be the best restaurant for us to dine where we would meet the most residents of TV?
3.) We will be there on a Wednesday so what town square would be the busiest so we can mingle and hopefully meet some of you.

We are so excited about our one day in TV as we talk about it alot. Not a day goes by without me thinking of being in TV and I have fallen in love, mostly due to this forum and the vast amount of information you all provide.

welcome aboard! since your visit will be on a wednesday - that is market nite in spanish springs town square - good entertainment and all of the vendors! not so great parking oppotunities - but don't let that stop ya!

stop by this website:
http://www.virginiatrace.com
and from there you can link to a website with the names and reputations [as determined by the posters] of many villages and area restaurants [upper left corner]. you might want to consider one of the country clubs [like palmer] for dinner.

most of all - have fun!

Cane Garden CC is world renown for its lobster pizza and Sicilian meat loaf.

And their coconut shrimp appetizer is excellent!
If you happen to be around Sumter Landing for lunch or dinner check out the Lighthouse. We've met the friendliest folks there.

Default my 2 cents

Ride the trolley. It's FREE and very informative and best of all for you - doesn't take long.

TippyClubb,

Definitely take the Trolley Tour from the TV sales center at Lake Sumter Landing. The trolley tour I took last year was narrated by a very informative guide and lasted about 45 minutes. You won't see all of TV, but it give you an idea of what TV is like. Enjoy your visit -- bet you will be back for a longer one in the future...
