We will be closing on our home 7/24 and will be there for a while after, setting up house, cameras, etc. Would love to meet some of the neighbors (I guess we are all "new". We are on Cosmos.

Where I come from (Long Island, NY) basically the street is closed to traffic, everyone on the block gets together chips in for food drink etc. and has a party! Sometimes a DJ is hired, entertainment for the kids is conjured up etc.

Recently though, (don't really like it this way but...) each homeowner has his own BBQ (or whatever) by his/her house and music and entertainment are chipped in for and located for everyone to enjoy.

Can be a lot of fun !

A block party is just a get together of neighbors out in front of someone's home for fellowship for a couple of hours. In this case, it will be in front of our home at 3815 Infinity Run. We are entertainers and will provide music, karaoke and comedy. You bring a chair and your cooler of goodies.

Welcome home! You are right, all of us are new. Ed and I have been here since April 23. Give me your names and address and I will add you to the roster. Our first party is 7/20. Your kind of block party does sound like fun. Our entertainment is music, karaoke and comedy.

We will be there on the 20th however we are supposed to leave on that day as well.

If I can arrange it we may be able to stay another night.

If so, I would be more than willing to bring something but I have absolutely nothing down there. So, If this goes off on the 20th, when we stop by and if we can make it please let me know what we can bring. Never like showing up empty-handed.

Since you are entertainers I would love to have my drums with me LOL. Might be able to get them in the car but would have to leave the wife home.

Hey Tony,

At this point, we are just planning a get together sort of party. I have encorouged everyone to just bring a chair and a cooler with their goodies in it. Then, at this start up party, we can plan our next one and what to bring.

Musicman Ed will be setting up all our equipment....he is a master at the mixing board and I'm a master at mixing him up. LOL I will ask him about the drums but I don't think we will have room in the driveway for anything else.

Drums in car vs wife out of car.....now that's a discussion I would not want to get into. (I know you are kidding though)
