Smile Hoping to join you!

Wanted to introduce ourselves, we are Bill and Karen and are hoping to move to TV in the near future!
We currently live in Citrus County, FL and have a house to sell before we can
buy in TV, but we are constantly looking at all our options for a home there!
Already have begun to get rid "stuff" and LOTS more needs to go.
Really appreciate all the information everyone shares on TOTV!!

Thanks for the welcome!
Beginning to wonder if we were going to not feel welcome with no replies to my post!
Can't believe that would happen tho with all the friendly faces and smiles we have seen on visits to TV!!

Hi Bill and Karen! I just saw your post for the first time. I remember going through the cleaning out period on our home in Ohio. It took us a long time since we had 20 years accumulation including a large attic. It is such an exciting time and I assure you that you are making a great decision to move to the Villages. Welcome to the forum. You will find so much great information here!! If you have any questions, just pm me and I'll try to help out. We've been here 5 years and loving it!

Sorry you didn't get a lot of welcomes right away...

Some of us were trying to solve the problems of the universe, a trait common to people of a "certain age".

I hope you find your way here and we truly understand how hard it is to downsize and move no matter if it is from Alaska or another place in Florida.

I would be so surprised if you don't love it here. Read this forum constantly and also look at old issues. Be sure you know about the bond, THE BOND, the IRS, the Morses being very rich, the paper being of a certain political persuasion and the restaurants not on the level of The Cordon Bleu.(All of which is fine for ME! ) I was so surprised so many old people live here, and then realized they are my peers.

Welcome to you. I hope you find the right house, wonderful friends, lots of exciting new things to do and I am looking forward to meeting you both.

Kindest wishes,
Gracie.

Bill and Karen, I have gotten loads of good information from TOTV. I have only been in The Villages a few months but love it already! Hope your home sells quickly so you can make the move. It took me two years to sell my home, but it did happen. Real Estate has picked up through out the US in the past several months, so that is a word of encouragement. Hope it happens soon for you. You are going to love this place!!!
