Default New residents in Hemingway Village

Hello from Tom and Lyn Ernst. We moved in the last weekend of April. We visited last July and fell in love with the area. Tom has a cousin here so that made it even more meaningful to get our ducks in a row to make the move.
We have lived in Bradenton, Fl since 1999. We moved then from mid Missouri, The lake of the Ozarks. Anyone out there know that area? Tom sold boats there for over 30 years. We are so happy to be here. Have met a good number of our neighbors and know this new chapter of our lives will be by far a best seller.

We are in the KC area not far from Lake of The Ozarks. Congrats on your move. As of TODAY, we are new homeowners in Gilchrist. Mailed back the closing docs on Monday and we're official today.

We'll be part-timers for a bit longer. Looking forward to a permanent move ASAP though.

Thanks everyone for the WELCOME wishes. So nice to know there are those who feel your joy. Things are pretty much in order now except for a few pieces of furniture we are still looking for. We have almost completed the full circle of accomplishments we set out to meet when we decided to make this move. But we have the rest of our lives. Jayhawk, we know a couple from KC. My hubby Tom did the boatshow in KC for years. Downtown and Overland Park. Good luck with your move.

Hi, Tom and Lyn

I was delighted to see your thread. I haven't seen any posts from Hemingway, before yours, and I'm renting a place there starting in September. And, I don't even know where it is. Now I can say I know two of my neighbors. Very cool. TV is certainly nothing like I'm used to. In New England you can go for years before you even know who lives next door.

I reciently purchased a Courtyard Villa in Hemmingway, but am still a Snow Bird for a few months more. Each time I go to my home, I have to come back to Indiana to get some rest :-).... Hemmingway residents are the best and will make you feel like you've lived there all your life... Welcome!
