Default Lanai floor

Can anyone tell me how you finished your open lanai floor and why? We don't plan to enclose it so carpeting won't work. We are looking for a surface that will not be slippery when wet. Thanks for your help.

I would be interested too - has anyone used ceramic tile - if so what would you recommend?

Me too. We need to cover ours with something due to hairline cracks all over the place. I would love some kind of flat stone or tile... anyone?

Default Lanai Rugs

We used a couple of outdoor rugs on our lanai. We've been here 4 years and they have been through several storms and they still look great.

Chattahoochie River Rock done by Mid-State Stone / 352-245-1990. Had ours done in 2004 and to this day we love it.

Our home has some really pretty kind of concrete paint on front and back porch that came with the house. (We closed one year ago today) We also bought exterior rugs that dry quickly, never mold and are not slippery. They have them for sale at Bed, Bath and Beyond as well as at Lowes and Home Depot. My faves are in Frontgate catalog.

We have just had FllorMasters of Wildwood install tile on our lanai and we are very pleased with our choice and their workmnship.
The key is to select specific tile for the use (outdoor). The one we selected isn't slippery at all when wet, but it is more expensive.
You can stop by to view if you wish, just PM me.

Ours is painted the same as our driveway and front porch. We love it.
There are companies which do this for you.

At my house in So. Fla. we put a coating down on the concrete. Basically it is what I believe is called "cool-crete." It is used around swimming pools.
We have had it down for 7 years and it is great and looks great. IMO
