Default Villages neighborhood recommendations

Hello, I am researching neighborhoods to move to.
I am interested in areas of the Villages where I can walk to the supermarket as well as one (or more) of the recreation centers. Can anyone give me suggestions on areas to check out?

You might want to look at the Sabal Chase and Virginia Trace area. You can walk to WinnDixie and Canal Street Rec Center and the square. You can also look at Polo Ridge and Tall Trees because you can walk to Publix and Saddlebrook and Laurel Manor Rec Centers.

Suggest taking a look at villages around main roads such as 27/441. These are close to shopping but might not be close enough to walk to. We live in Hacienda and stores are very accessible by golf cart but not walking distance.

We liked Fenney because it has more nature. Golf cart can get to Publix from the furthest houses in about 15 mins. Car access to the Turnpike in about 4 mins.

Clifford Villas, if you can find one for sale. Across Heald Way from neighborhood Wal Mart and shopping, walk to Colony Cottage Regional Rec Center, Colony Plaza shopping, Moyer Rec Center, Captiva Rec Ctr.

What's your budget? There are the cottages at Sumter Landing, which are within walking distance to Winn Dixie, located on the outer block OF the actual town square, and have a swimming pool.

This is where Dad used to rent because he could walk Mom to town easily. Good area.

Up north near intersection of Hwy 42 and Buena Vista there is the Village of Briar Meadow. Very close to the Mulberry Rec center and Mulberry Shopping plaza.
