Default Snow

Welcome to TV, if we had that little snow we would not have considered moving. LOL

Only someone from Syracuse NY can make this statement.

This makes us feel good that we will be happy with our choices.

We live northwest of Baltimore in Reisterstown. Check out the link below to see some photos of our current home in winter.

We moved to Pennecamp last November. For two years we were planning on buying a pre-loved home. The deal for our home went south and we had to spend 4 more months with no furniture. (it was shipped down here in pod).

That is why we decided to by a new Courtyard Villa. I can get to Lake Sumter in less then 15 minutes. Plus the new square (Brownwood?) will be a short ride, also.

I find that the longer I'm here, the less we go to the square. So many activities in my own neighborhood.
Anyways, welcome to Paradise!!!

Really, what kind of neighborhood activities? We are getting psyched to be in our new home! This sounds great. Being retired here in MD the winter season gets very boring. No golf and bad weather. Even in the summer it is tough to find a lot to do, because everyone I know is still working. My golf club is twelve miles from home so once I golf and come home I am not in the mood to drive back out there for social stuff in the evening. I spend a lot of time on the computer, work on my fitness and diet, and watch T.V.

When we were in the Villages I spent a lot of time in the mornings in Starbucks talking to the locals, and also at the wine and cigar shop (GarVin) in town. We walked around the small stream and nature trail in Sumter Landing. Are there other such paths that are larger for nice walks? Loved the burgers at Glenview CC. Happy hour on the squares is a great bargin in the afternoons.

Well we did have an earthquake here today. My first ever. That snow that I photographed was a record here. We had two storms in 3 days and each was more then 3 feet.

We have neighborhood socials and informal gatherings. I play golf with a few from my block. My neighbor and I have down a few projects together like installing stairs to attic in garage and we helped each other install storm doors. I just came back from the golfing range at Colony and now plan on going to one of the executive golf course. There are no snowbirds so you can get right on to the course. I have about 6 courses within 5 minutes from my house. Best kept secret is summer golf here.

What driving range is at Colony? I know of the one on Rolling Acres, the one behind Walmart and the nicest I've seen is at Palmer.

I've been to Colony Plaza many times and have never noticed the range, I only remember the little office plaza with TV sales center.

It is not accessible by automobile. Golf cart only. Just take the beautiful cart path on the south side of 466A and you will see it.

We are coming to TV the day after labor day to hopefully find a home to move into by late October. Our budget is a little lower then we originally planned because our home sold for less then we thought it would. Unfortunately a neighbor recently sold low and set a president for future sales.

Our budget is around $230k max and we want a 3 bedroom home near Sumter Landing. We are looking for any advice as we have very little time to make our move. Looking forward to our new life in our active community.
House sold too, about the same boat..................Lookin'forward to see'n ya,That's Illinois for the best of luck,..............

Hi all,

We just got back to Baltimore after a week in the Villages. Great news we bought a Cypress in Virginia Trace. We are very excited my DW is planning all the renovations that she wants to do to our home.

I got excited about our cart purchase. We bought a new Club Car electric. Our golf pro in Baltimore said he loved this brand, so we took his advice.

The highlight of our trip was watching the Ravens maul the Steelers at Too Jays. Also I shot a 75 from the white tees at Mallory.
