Default Setting up Skype

I have Skype on my home PC in WI--trying to set it up on a new Dell laptop through Comcast here in TV--my daughter lives in Australia. I have downloaded, paid, and yet I can't make a call--message says Windows can't open call page. Has anyone else had trouble getting Skype operational? Thanks for any help.

Default Security okay

Did you okay it as a safe website on your security under options?

Whom did you pay and what did you pay for? Skype is completely free UNLESS you are calling from Skype to a landline phone but if you go computer to computer there is no cost!

We talk to New Zealand often for no charge on either end. May be the security on the new computer is too tight.
