Default Mattress and furniture needed in June

We will be heading south to see our new home in June right after we take possession of it. However, it will be empty. How do people go about getting furniture quickly? The Treasures & ? store sounds like a great place but how would we get the stuff to our home in time to sleep there? Any advice?
Do people stop at Walmarts and buy an air mattress and sleep on that until they can get furniture? Are there lots of people selling things every day as they move out or get tired of things? Should we just wait until fall to buy furniture from a furniture store then have it delivered when we will be down there for the winter? We just want everything now!! Any advice? Thank, Karen

I forgot to ask if there are people in TV who have businesses moving small amounts of furniture for a good price?

We bought a mattress set, Love Seat (half the price that Southern Living quoted on the same Broyhill unit) and Twin Hide a Bed from JC Penney in Calif (and at no interest or payments for 18 months) and it was delivered in TV from their Warehouse in Georgia. We used $80 air mattresses from Wallyworld for three years when we were staying for two weeks at a time - very comfortable but low to the floor which could be an issue (not with us tho).

Most of the local consignment/resale stores have Macy-like pricing except the one at the South end of the strip on 441 that has the Sears outlet (have lunch at Isabella's next door to Sears).

We bought a house and ordered the furniture the next day. It will be delivered when we close. All of the furniture stores are well versed in taking care of TV people moving in.
Southern Lifestyles, Showcase Direct, Veranda, Rooms to Go, as well as many others were more than helpful. We are making an international move. This was a piece of cake compared to everything else you have to worry about. I would recommend Shane at Southern Lifestyles. He knows how to keep in a budget that you set.

We arrived in TV a few days before our closing (stayed at the holiday inn express here) and went shopping prior to the closing...we had all deliveries and utility changes done before we closed...the closing took place in the morning and we were at the door when furniture arrived in the afternoon.

Since we had not picked out a bedroom suite, we just had the mattress, box spring and frame delivered - that way we could take all the time we wanted to select something.

Do you have coupons from Bed, Bath and Beyond (my budget)? Those coupons saved me a bundle in purchasing items for our home! Saved so much $$ on one trip that it amounted to our getting flatware for free!

And the savings at TJ Maxx and Bells Outlet for household items is great! Seriously...don't go crazy spending on accessories until you have checked out those stores - I saw great candlestick lamps at TJ's today. And Monday is 15% off day for ages 50 and older at Bell's and 10% off at TJ's - that can add up for you!
