Smile cell service??

What are your opinions about cell service companies in TV? Does Sprint have a strong signal in TV? We have ATT now and thought about switching. Thanks

WE have NEXTEL..which is now part of Sprint..and when I had to buy a new phone, Nextel sold me this sprint/Nextell Hybird that was Sprint for cell service and Nextell for Direct Connect. We live south of 466 near LSL and I will tell you the cell service through Sprinit was absolutely terrible. WE changed to Nextell and it was and is great.

Go to this link (below) and type in 32162...you will see sprint coverage is mostly fair to good depending upon your location while Nextell is mostly BEST coverage.

WE returned our sprint phone during the 30 day trial period..Nextell has been great.

I'm beginning to think the type of cellphone you have is a determining factor in reception. I have an iPhone, in Germany and have been in a location where I had no service and my friend, who has a Blackberry, with the same provider had a full signal. Very curious, very curious indeed...

Anyone know how much the actual phone impacts reception?

We had Sprint before we moved here and it was terrible. Then we switched to Verizon because our kids had it. It is terrible where we live in Hadley, but works well in other areas. I think it depends on where the towers are. Since Hadley is only a couple years old, I wonder if there aren't any towers nearby.
We have complained to Verizon, but they offer no answers.

We had Sprint when we moved to Hemingway and we'd have to lean out the lanai to talk. We switched to Verizon and it only talks in the Living Room. My T-Mobile "pay as you go" is a little better...could be we're in kind of a dead zone, along with Hadley.

I have an iPhone with AT&T.I stayed in Duval for a month. Walking around the house the signal would go from full bars to drop the call. I bought in Hemingway. I hope the reception is better there.

AT&T is fine if you're in metropolitan areas (even TV), but travel the back roads and you'll get frequent "no service". Verizon has much better coverage when you leave the Interstate system and metropolitan areas. Their commercials with the maps are on point.
