Default Moving from Rhode Island

We will be moving to The Villages from Rhode Island in early October. We have approximately 40 large boxes plus two flat screen televisions. Furniture is minimum: one ottoman, one buffet, and one folding table. We are hoping to find a reasonably priced moving company.

Welcome to The Villages

Consider a POD. That is what we did from CT.

Consider U Pack which is a sponsor on the left of this page.

We used ABS Trucking which was UPack from Attleboro MA. They give you 3 days to pack into a trailer that's coming to FL. You get to block and lock off your belongings. Then they fill the rest of the trailer with stuff coming this way. You get 3 days to unpack it. You pay by how many feet of the trailer you use. We can loan you a heavy duty 2 wheel dolly if you need it. Don't buy one.

We used a pod out of Ri. Not sure if all will fit in. Packed tight it should. Was an easy move.

Have seen a lot of Upack or other self move trailers parked in front of homes for a couple of days. They do that at both ends, giving you time to pack it all in. It's much cheaper.
