Default Moving to the villages in 2 weeks

After being on this site for 2 years we have sold our house and are moving to the villages. We will be renting for a month while we look for a home. We hope to find a place close to shopping and close to a pool. We like Summerhill. See You all soon

I hope you enjoy it as much as we do. It is a good time to move here. It is not the busy season. Get to know the restaurants you like and the servers names and you will possibly get better attention when season comes.

Where be fresh lobster in the center of Florida ? Don't see any lobster tanks in Publix or Winn Dixie.
Lobster pot awaits...

Welcome to TV, Once you find your dream home, settle in, and do only the things that need to be done before the furniture gets there: coat the garage floor, replace carpets, etc. After that continue to look over this site, there is LOTs of info on what you can do etc. We wanted almost 2 years for some projects to make sure this was what we wanted. Beware the door to door sales people and the "welcome wagon" people. Depending on your definition of "shopping" you may greatly be limiting your choices, so be sure you look around. Also, if you look at the Brownwood area, be prepared to use a car to get around, we use our golf cart for the occasional golf game, and cars for everything else.
Hope this helps.

Publix has a tank for live lobster at Colony. I've seen one at Winn-Dixie on rare occasions, but they almost always have flash frozen whole lobsters and/or tails. It's also easy to have shipped from NE using the Internet.

Don't rush yourself. You might find your life style changes from what you though. I would rent for about 6 months before buying.
