Frank... Not sure of all models, but I have a Bridgeport and the garage ceilings are 9ft. I recommend getting the epoxy garage flooring installed, before you put the first thing in the garage...

Cheers.... Mike

I think some or all of the premiers have 10' ceilings in the garage.

Not sure of your plans, but, regardless of the celling height you will still have the normal door height. Someone will correct me if I'm wrong.

I used this stuff called G-Floor. It's a rubber mat that you roll out. It's works very well and really looks great. I still put something down under the electric golf cart when charging even though the battery acid will not damage the rubber.
The car and carts look like their parked in a showroom.

Default Garage Floor

I'm reading some of the recommendations and definitely interested in the epoxy or Gfloor? Can someone recommend someone for that service? Also, how about Lanai floor....I've seen some really nice ones that are pebbled or stamped. What's the consensus on Lanai floors as well? Appreciate the help...I'm very new to TV and am only part time for the next few years unfortunately....Thanks for the help

Some of the homes in Bridgeport and Harmswood have higher than 10 ft. garage openings.

I ordered the G-Floor from Sam's club. For a 9X20 roll it was $200 delivered. It weighs 100lbs so the shipping is expensive. I needed two for my garage. You simply orient the roll properly and roll it out. It lays flat in a few hours.
I made a mistake in my previous post. It's made of vinyl not rubber.

I used the 2 part epoxy process for my garage. The finish is applied, like painting. I used Tim the Toolman to apply this to my floor. He worked at my home for about 10 hours over 3 days to prepare the floor and apply the epoxy coating. The mats are another good option, as are some of the tile floors that are available for garages.

If you're interested in the epoxy coating, I can give your Tims phone number and I'm sure he would be happy to quote a job for you.

The epoxy coating will keep the concrete protected from oil drips/spills, many chemicals, winter road salt (not a problem in FL!!), etc. Also makes sweeping and cleaning the floor easy - it eliminates 'concrete dusting', where it always seems like no matter how much you sweep, you're always getting some dust from the concrete.

A caution: Epoxy floor coatings can be slippery when wet. Usually, adding in a non-skid material recommended by the manufacturer when applying the epoxy will mitigate the situation.

Does the cement need to cure before applying the epoxy paint? We are building and would like to do this but didn't know how long we would need to wait.

the concrete needs to be etched first.

I've used epoxy paint in the past, I still find after a period of time it will peel a bit.
I may try the G-Floor next time

Not sure of the curing process, but I would think it would be cured by the time you move into the home. My home was a model, so it had been here a year or so. As JohnN stated, the floor will need to be etched first [cleaned with an acid solution], before you apply the epoxy. I can't really speak to the longevity of the floor, since mine is a little less than one year old.

There are lots of options for garage floors and we just happened to like the epoxy finish and look...very easy to keep clean and my golf cart looks great sitting on it ....
