Default New home prices increased!

We got a message from our rep yesterday that new home prices have gone up $4,000 to $5,000 now and that the designer appointments are now being scheduled for Aug.!
Thought I would pass the good news on!

Thanks for the heads up. Was your rep referring to designer homes (since you mention designer appointments) or does this include all the home series?

We were told that ALL home prices went up $6000.00 on May 1st. We were scheduled to meet our designer on April 30, so our agent was able to do a lock at the lower price since we would not be done with the process before the price increase. No change in the cost of the selections/modifications at this time just the base price of the homes. Sorry.

This is great news. This means they are selling everything they can build and people want more. Supply and Demand. Also means all the re-sale homes will follow and go up in value. Hopefully the first of many.

Default Prices of homes up

I am surprised that people can actually AFFORD these anymore with the economy the way it is. Probably people can't retire till they are 70 now. Guess we were lucky to get in when we did.

Prices on homes up, so are bonds?? How do people do it??

Not if they live at TV, the place of the best senior healthcare. Right?

Yea! Why the Daily Sun doesn't even see the need to carry an obituary section. And its all directly related because folks made the wise choice of moving to The Villages after retirement.

Yes, but they have smiles on their faces.

Only "great news" if you were able to buy before the increase.

Not really Bettiboop. Would you rather buy a home when prices were falling or rising? If you knew they were likely to continue going down you probably would not buy. If you saw a price increase and believe it is the first of many, you probably would buy. So if your thinking about doing it, probably should just do it now.

Retire, even though you don't go to a job anymore do you really retire? I see many people that are so busy that this is just the second part of their life its just without a paycheck
