Hi everyone. I'm a single, retired lawyer from Erie, PA and will be moving into my Villages home near Spanish Springs the first week of the new year. It's just me and my little dog and we're both looking forward to our first winter without snow. I'll be a year round resident.

I have a lot of questions, and at the top of the list is the best place/way to buy a late model gas golf cart in good condition. Any advice will be appreciated.

I'll also be redoing my health care arrangements and wonder what the experience has been with The Villages Health, which my HMO participates with.

Also, contact SHINE about your health care, personally I do not like advantage care plans and stuck with medicare and a supplemental. As noted above there are many threads and comments on this subject, so please do a search. You did not mention your age, and the situation changes when you turn 65.

Prices on golf carts have appeared to have gone up significantly recently, but there are some for sale on this site (see the classifieds), new carts appear to have 6 month or more waiting list.

Welcome to your new home, we are new as well. Been here a week and a half. Inventory is low everywhere . We went to Wholesale Golf Carts. They sale refurbished and you can completely customize and it takes 9 weeks. We bought one that was almost completed only changed the seats and a few other features and it will be delivered in 2 weeks.

Welcome. We came down a year ago. Haven't had any problems with The Villages Health.
