Default Walmart

This morning I decided that I needed some stuff from either Walmart or Target - lightbulbs and stuff like that. GPS took me to a Walmart in Leesburg and I must say it was a pretty crummy store. Is there anything better around here? Or is there a Target? My GPS just doesn't seem to know where I live.

A newer Walmart is on 466 near the intersection of 466 & 301. Target is in the shopping center on 441 that is to the left of where Rolling Acres Road intersects with 441 (if you're on Rolling Acres, turn left into the shopping center). It's a good idea to buy a street map of TV as many GPS are not updated enough for the area. And even when they are, they are confused. Very confused.

First of all you need to get your GPS updated. There is a Walmart on Rt. 466, eastern end near Rt. 301. It's a big one.
The Target is in the shopping center at the intersection of Rt. 441 and Rolling Acres Road, where all the big box stores are located.
Hope this helps.

Guess you got taken to the Wildwood Wal-Mart -- closest to 466A. Go up Buena Vista to 466, turn left, Wal-Mart on the righthand side. Target is off 441 -- 466A to race track (past Burke's), turn left; right at the stop sign; left on Rolling Acres; left at shopping center right after the school -- Target in that strip mall. You can get to either of these stores by golf cart but they are a distance (nice rides, though).

Usually with my gps I program for the fastest route. However, in the Villages that does not work very good. You should program the gps for shortest route. For some reason the gps gets confused in the Villages.

Thanks to you all. It's good to know that there are better choices than what my GPS did to me this morning. GPS is a blessing and a curse sometimes. Or is it me that's cursing at it sometimes? LOL.

When I first moved here my GPS guided me to the same Walmart you visited and I felt exactly as you did ! I was there at night and I must admit that I found the parking lot to be poorly lit and even a bit scary [ not easy to admit -but true ].

Then I went on line and discovered the much nicer Walmart off 466 .

Totally disgusting. I know that Walmart isn't exactly high end shopping but that one was creepy. Not going there again for sure !!!! I only bought the lightbulbs I needed. Tomorrow may take a shot at finding the one off 466.

Stop by AAA and get some maps, or purchase from Barnes/Noble. For the best map (IMHO) of Villages, purchase one from Village Mercantile.

You'll like the Walmart on 466. It's clean, the employees are friendly and it is very Villager friendly. Plus it's golf cart accessible.
