Several Oklahoma University alumni and friends want to get together to watch OU Football. So we are forming a group and here's what we have planned so far. We are meeting at Gators Dockside (Brownwood) for the first 3 games, tentatively Aug 30 vs. Louisiana Tech 7PM, Sept 6 Tulsa 12 Noon, and Sept 13 Tennessee 8PM. We plan on gathering about an hour before game time. Eat and/or drink (or not) will be pay as you go.
Before that we are planning on gathering at College Colors Day (CCD), Aug 29, 3-5PM, at Spanish Springs Town Square. We arrived here slightly before CCD last year. There was an attempt to start an email list, but that obviously failed -- and I was too new to know any better. Someone had an OU tent (15+ people were there) -- I'm hoping that he will show up again.
I'm starting an email list, so if you know anyone who would like to join us, please tell them. They don't have to be an alumni, just come and watch football, meet new friends and share a tale or 2! Not exactly an OU football fan but our Grandaughter is going to
OU on a track/cross country scholarship so we will cheer for them unless they happen to play ATM. :-). I think Oklahoma will be awesome this year.
