Default Twinspins Foundation Deux

Hi Everyone! Sorry to report no progress on the foundation this day. All of the backfill is in place and there is plastic covering it. The forms appear to be up for the concrete but the builder hasn't consulted with me to give me a date for the pour...sorry. I'm sure that you have the same foundation as Calc's and I know that they can commisurate with you. Let's keep a stiff upper lip and see what tomorrow brings. I know it's Saturday but maybe they will do something!!!

There was a notice on the front door to the contractor and the sub-contractors to clean up after themselves and to wipe their feet because all of the flooring is down. I looked into your MBR (felt a little perverted...lol) and everything sure is down.

Enjoy the pics...my job at this site is done!!!
Carol--all I can say is OMG--it's beautiful and since we can't be there to toast with you Jim and I had to have a glass of wine in your honor on the completion of your great looking house--we are soooooo jealous

I'll guess we'll just have to sit tight and be happy for everyone's progress--I can't count may chickens before they hatch and need to be patient--easier said than done now that I know they started

Rusty! You're such a comedian! But yes, we added a "beer return station" for the comfort of our guests...hahahaha! Thanks for the pics! It's dissappointing that there are no materials on site...we REALLY are hoping that kitchen cabinets will be in before we arrive next week. We were trying to gauge it based on HotRod's build, but since we have different builders, they might do stuff in different order. She got her cabinets about 5 days ago, right? We were hoping since her close date is a week before us that we were a week behind her...but it doesn't appear that way! Ugghhhh....

I honestly have to admit that I don't remember when Hotrod's cabinets were installed. Everything is running together too much for me to remember stuff like that. I'd say that paint will be the next thing that happens.

We'll see what this coming week brings. This seems to be the point in time when things explode.

Oh no! Horrors! Whatever will I do without Rusty's pictures?
It just won't be the same, waiting every day to see what has happened and what is yet to come...but I can live it all over again through everyone else's
photos! Yep-that's exactly what I will do! I am astounded at the scope and size of Calc's lanai! Boy, do I ever see a lot of running back and forth between houses in Gilly,Fern,Charlotte and Sanibel for some wonderful parties! Now we have to see the lot that A-4 has chosen.... Plus a bit of Rusty's covert action! Calc, the paint will come before the cabinets, but I might expect them to be there when you arrive! Twin, you must have the same type lot that Calc has with the grading issue! It will all be done on time, as promised! And little Millie's home looks to be just a pups dilly in Gilly! God help me, I'm on my 3rd glass of Thank goodness I will be able to walk home once in TV!

I guess that we should be careful about who we associate with...seems that there are some nefarious characters in this neighborhood...

To All: Well, Rich and I spent 15 wonderful days in our new home in Sanibel. All I can say is save some money for after closing, we did a lot the last two weeks and it is truly becoming a home. Wish we were going to be there for all your upcoming closings, but Rich still has to go to work for a few more months. Hope to be here full time soon. We took a golf cart ride through Gilcrest the other day and your homes are all beautiful! Have a great time and hope to catch up with many of you around New Years. Take care. Linda & Rich

I didn't realize that you also have a nice little comfort station off the lanai for when your pool party guests need to give back the beer that they drank prior to getting into Coopers pool!!! It looks wonderful!!!
Dont forget that there is always the nice blue neighbourhood comfort station on Hotrods lot.

Unless complaints by other jealous neighbourhoods, over the special treatment and facilities we are getting, means we have to dispence with it before the Gilly party season starts.

Hi Linda and Rich,

Glad your closing went well and your house is becoming a home - we will be buying everything new as it is too far for us to bring anything (from the UK) so are busy watching the $/£ exchange rates to maximise our buying power!

We close on the 17th Dec, so will be there over the New Year and look forward to meeting you both and all the others we have met on this thread - can't wait.

Reading TOTV is starting to dominate our day!!

regards
Andy, Wendy & Millie

Ok people...I'm having complete withdrawal. I either need an update from A-4 or pictures of something. This thread has created an obsessive monster!

Well Davina and I come down to design Thanksgiving week. So I guess they should start the build the beginning of December. If any one dares to visit Mockingbird Ln, I would not be adverse for a picture or two be taken

I'll be in touch!! It has been very exciting to see the different stages of the builds...
