Default Twin Has Walls!!!

Hi Everyone!! Your home is coming along nicely. Most of the drywall is hung and I would estimate 75% complete. Looking good!!!!

Default Calc's (A-4's) Summer Kitchen

Hi Gal & Guys!! Work continues on Coopers place! They've finished the tile work around your (or A-4's) summer kitchen and it looks wonderful! You're getting very close to carpet I would estimate and after that it won't be long till I'll be locked out of yet another home!!

I saw your Mom & Dad this evening and they told me that congrats are in order so..."CONGRATS!!!!"

The tile in the guest bath also looks wonderful!!!

Default Millie's House

Hi Guy and Gals!!! Everything is looking great at your home. The exterior lighting has been installed and the granite is also in the kitchen and other areas. I have to say that the granite choice was right on target because it looks wonderful!!! The tile man was still working on everyone else's bathroom off the lanai and it also looks great. You should be very happy when you get here next week!

However that being said, for unlimited nationwide including Canada, PR, etc. Also caller ID, call forwarding, voicemail, etc...I was quoted 90 per month for digital HDTV and the phone. I think it was 120 with all three but don't quote me. The person to call is Paul Muniz 407-504-2580. If I recall it is something ridiculous like 200 channels. They come thru the main box, but you can run TV's in any room just connected to the cable line (no box) and get 79 (?) channels? Something of that sort. So for now I just will have the main box in the living area as I don't see any need for others at this time. He was informative and answered all my questions. Much cheaper than what I pay here in Chicago!
I totally agree with Hotrod! We did go with Brighthouse and Paul Munoz was our rep. I initially contacted him via TOTV and he was prompt to get back to me in person. He gave me a good deal on the install and I pay $128.00 per month for HDTV, internet and unlimited CONUS phone calls. I also only got an expanded box for the living room and we get something like 79 channels in the other rooms which is fine for me. I didn't get any expanded packages (HBO, SHO, FLIX, sports, etc) because I just don't use them. I did get the DVR package so we can record the programs we miss. They also have programs on demand for most networks. I'm very satisfied with them and would do it all over again!!

You know we love you A-4!
IF he comes to our parties???? I always thought that was a given.... I do, however, think you guys are thinking too small with pool lighting and doggie walks. I think you should find some way to hook him up to the water supply and heat the pools. Talk about a cost savings and being a value to the neighborhood!!!

With both options we still have room for a 2' stretch to side (den/bed 2/living/lanai)... What do you think Gillies? Put the space into the garage and den OR give the space over to our Gillie friends to PARTY! What say you Gillies?
Well, IMHO this is an easy decision...I would vote for giving it over to your loving neighbors to party.

Seriously though, I would follow Hotrod's example and stretch anywhere and everywhere you can insofar as your budget allows. I stretched the lanai 2' initially and wish I had done another 2' just for the room. Personally I am satisfied with the size of the MBR so I'm not sure about the back. I would definitely stretch the garage if you have a large vehicle. We have a Ford Expedition and it barely fits into the garage. But, I still vote for the party space!!!

Yes! We got an offer on our house here in Virginia...it was VERY scary to contract our house in TV without having sold our house in Virginia...but the settlement date here in VA is just 5 days after our settlement in TV. We will rent something in VA until the school year is over. Didn't quite get the $$ we wanted and could have probably done better if we pulled it off the market and re-listed it in the spring...but I just needed it to be SOLD so I could focus on becoming a GilBilly.

So it looks like we'll be adding another trip to Gilchrist MLK weekend in mid-January to finally take a look at our finished house (Ed might drive a truck with some of our stuff--I will fly because it's too hard for me to take time away from my AP Calc kids). Then we'll be back the last week in March during my spring break. And finally we should be permanent in June/July.

Doggie walks? Oh this would be great if we could start a doggie walk group. My aussie is starving for companionship.

Honestly, this is a great time to sell. So much more is on in the spring so be happy you sold it now. You never know what the economic climate will be in the spring and what your competition would be. Congratulations!

I'm in! Gracie got out of the house a few weeks ago when her grandmother wasn't looking and I caught her on Mockingbird. She had to stop & go potty or I would probably still be chasing her!!! Doggie walks sound good to me. Gracie loves other dogs!!!

I am totally remiss in not mentioning this little Gilly sub-group...lol. Calc's father being the clever fellow he is printed up a village crest for those of us from south of the mason-dixon line. He found a font that really looks like an official crest that says "GillBillies" with a picture below of a grizzled mountain man hold a jug of fine homemade "XXX" and a sack of flower in the other hand. I can't find it to take a pic of it so if Calc can get me a file I'll post it on the site. Calc's dad thought it would be funny for people like A-4 and myself who are a little bit country.

OMG! Rusty, thanks again for posting pics! Even though I can't get any now, I am SO elated to see everyone else's progress. It may as well be mine. Wendy, I am just loving your choices, and Calc, love the tile for the summer kitchen. It is so interesting to see how differently we have all done out homes! And Twin has finished walls!!! Hooray! When I first saw the neighborhood there were just 3 homes. WV-bet that has certainly changed!!
Finally I get to say "see you soon" eighteen days to close! Not that I am counting or anythig...

Wow! Another CONGTATS from me, Calc! How awesome is it that you have sold your home in VA? for you! Seems you have quite a lot of packing to do in the very near future! Glad you are coming back down and I look forward to meeting you it's going to be a mighty fine winter in Gillyland! We'll be waiting for you!

Schisa! We have a bunch of doggies I think! I have 2 myself! One of my friends fosters Aussie's and has 5 at home now. Yikes! That is one busy house. I also have a friend staying with me for much of the winter and she is bringing her "Buddy". Then we have Gracie, Millie, Cooper, and more I am certain! Lots of opportunity there!
