She had a horse drawn carriage standing by, but since her other half was in a long conversation with the law she had her footman order the carriage home.

What have you been drinking Jimbo . . . . . you car pooled with me to Katie Belles last night. After you ate that steak, I can see how your memory would fail you

Looking good! You and your mates did a great job overseeing your build. Looking forward to seeing it completed.

One of the Gilly’s has declared a Gilly-Bration at Evans Prairie Country Club Wednesday night at 8:00.
Everyone will assemble on the patio between the pro-shop and the restaurant. We’ve got a bunch of people in town visiting, designing, or closing and a lot to celebrate. And if we run out of things to celebrate we can always toast stucco going on my house today. This will be ANOTHER dry run / warm up for the big Driveway Party next week.

Dress warm and casual since we’ll be outside. This is open to everyone on this thread, the spreadsheet and your friends. Stop by and say hi.

P.S. . . . The Gilly Nation does not have committees, organized games, department heads, Founding Members, social directors, neighborhood boundaries, or collect dues. We do accept donations of empty Corona bottles to keep the Bonny Sir Johnny Brewery in operation. We’re just a bunch of FUN PEOPLE who like to get together, raise our glasses, smile and laugh. We do have a Mayor and an Administrative Assistant Staff which no one respects.

Default Its official!!!!

Well, We finished up the desing session today , went over final contracts, and signed the check- so i guess we are officially Gillyland residents now!

Thanks to all who helped with advice and encouragement.

We have family obligations so we have to get back to North Carolina tomorrow- but we will be back soon to enjoy some of the building process. I am hoping that the Flinstones and A-4 will watch over things and let us know of any strange sightings.

Have fun at the celebration tomorrow. Drink one for us!

Hi Judy! Welcome to the neighborhood. A lot of people are going to tell you that the design process is a well oiled machine and that you will actually have a good time! You won't believe a word of it until you actually go through the process and find out that it's all true!!!

Anyway, welcome to the neighborhood!!!

Welcome Judy, Betsy and Sunset!! We in Gillyland seem to be filling up fairly quickly these days! In regards to the dust question... I think it Is something all of us expect aa there is so much construction going on. The worst seems to be when they cut block. But it does not take that long to build a home and I would expect the worst of it to be over soon. When the winds whip up and carry the sand from the empty lots everywhere... Well that can be a bit bothersome. But they build so quickly I would think this section will be complete within another 6 months or so. All in all, it's not bad. Just relax and enjoy your little bit of paradise!
