Did the "gillybration " tonight for the first time. Met nice new neighbors. Great idea.

Darn, I missed another Gillybration...is there a regular time or do I have to check here every day?

Happy Birthday a day late! It sounds like you had a great day. Quite like this explanation--I'm sure your brother-in-law will never disagree with you again. Hope you are enjoying the summer but we miss you here.

Hi Your Worship -- Thank you for your good wishes.

We didn't want our Gillyland friends and neighbours to start spending loads and loads of money buying me birthday presents so we didn't announce it before the day.

As for Royal Ascot, we have a long standing agreement with Her Majesty for us not to attend because I don't like wearing top hats and Her Ladyship doesn't like wearing hats either (it spoils her hairdo)

Hope the Gilybration went well, we raised a glass at midnight (12pm), when we got in from the evening out for the birthday meal, then flacked out.

But it would be built to last, send the tickets, coach is ok don't need first class.

Will all celebrate your birthday before we start the build.

Happy birthday 'ol man.

Default Traffic Jam on Dafoe

The fam went out to eat tonight and when we got back we decided to take the cart down to the "Cat House" to check it out before it gets locked up. Sheet rock is up and spackled. Stucco is done and ready for paint. There were so many people in there and still coming I started charging $5 a head to get in and $5 for parking. (Valet parking was $10) The funds will go into the Gilly-Land Treasury until I run low on beer money. It's going to be a WONDERFUL house Shawn & Freddie.

You have to check here every day. I've never missed an announcement although I've missed every G-bration!

What a relief that somebody is still in the neighbourhood (or neighborhood) collecting dues for the Gillyland Treasury - entry fees for the construction workers is a cracking idea and just shows what a wealth of business talent we have at home in Gilchrist.

We are just a little worried that it might slow build progress a little, but the Gillyland treasury, A4's steady supply of Corona and Jimbo's Bail Bond have to be the priority.

Again, many thanks to all who sent me Happy Birthday wishes on 'The Thread' I did have a great day.

You guys are a few hours behind, but we have just celebrated the summer solstice and the Sun has risen over Stonehenge as it has done for several thousand years now, after today, the days are getting shorter again.

Where has this year gone and how much has happened - fortunately for us for the better with meeting all our new American friends and educating them on proper English phrases and slang - "it's absolutely fabulous and smashing that everyone from Greater Gillyland now feeds donkey's strawberries when they go out to buy bits and bobs".

Happy birthday 'ol man.
No way we would fly you 'steerage', we would have to either borrow the Lady Mayoress's private plane or pay through the nose for First Class.

You and Lady Jimbo deserve no less.

We like the idea of a late Birthday celebration though before we start the build.

Just ordered a 50 ton crane to lift the main bridge sections in place, not sure how to get it up the drive and down the side of the house yet

Default Been & Gone

Well, that's is it for another year

The Summer Solstice has been and gone, where has the first half of this year gone, so much has happened.

We had a typical mid summer evening here in the UK, it was drizzling (raining gently) and rather cloudy and the sun sank with a whimper rather than going down in a blaze of glory.

Looking forward to continuing to live the dream in TV and getting up to some more pranks with our new friends and larger than life characters that our great neighbourhood (or neighbourhood) has attracted.

You're in luck. Since you left the "neighbourhood" has filled up with a whole bunch of new "characters". Some of them are capable of teaching YOU a few new tricks / stunts. They are "waiting on you". You better practice on your friends in the UK.

Have we gone a day without an entry on our thread?
