Just a quick update on the condition of the Mum. Her heparin levels are now at the theurapeutic level and her potassium is on the rise. He coumadin level is still a little low so the doc decided to up her dose to get her in the 2-3 range. Hoping that once that happens we can spring her from the slammer!

Got back from the hospital at about 7:00 after the doc left. Mom's coumadin level is still not high enough so the doc increased her dosage. Hopefully it will rise and we can spring her from the hoosegow!!!!

Got to the hospital at about 11:00am and found her trying to change her bed. She'd had a nose bleed and got the blanket dirty. Ordered her to bed and she kept trying to change the bed...<sigh>.

Finally got her into bed and got her to read Elsie's cards which she loved and has sitting on the window sill where she can see them (thanks, Elsie)!

I checked her coumadin level with the nurse and it's up to 1.8 (therapeutic is 2-3) so we're hopeful it will be up in the a.m. and we can get her home. She's bored to death in the hospital and I'm worn out...lol.
