Here's a recent thread on b-fast places at LSL, which is probably going to be the closest square to where you'll be staying:

Toojays at Market Square, then go to the sales office for the trolley tour the first morning.

Our lunch and dinner favorites include:

Mallory Hill CC - great brick oven pizzas and evening specials.
Lopez, Palmer, and Cane Garden are dinner favorites.
Either Toojays for both breakfast and lunch.
Lighthouse for happy hour and dinner.
Bonefish grill - calamari is to die for
Katie Belles for Sunday brunch and made to order omlettes.
Golden Corral for Sundy brunch also - the guy who makes the omlettes is a trip - and good!
Redsauce for italian.
Seafood Galley for the breaded haddock.

Mallory has become our default choice when we aren't sure what sounds good.

What time is happy hour at the Lighthouse? Is there a list of happy hour times? Does Chula Vista still have a place to eat and a happy hour?

This was posted back in Jan 2011. I don't know if it is still valid.
