This is the site that would have openings listed for rec centers and other things. They don't have any PT listed now but you can call and ask. http://www.districtgov.org/departmen...rent-jobs.aspx

Friend, you are not going to do much augmenting. Jobs pay about $7.25 per hour to start. I saw one advertised in the morning paper, Daily Sun, for joining a cleaning crew for a part time job at Lake Sumter Landing. It was 5 days a week from 6:30 pm until 9:30 pm for $7.25 per hour. That is $108 per week.

You can go to the Human Resources office over in Spanish Springs (across from Too-jays -- second floor) and put in an application (you do have to be applying for something at the time) but after that if you see a position listed you can just call and they will submit your application.

I find their hiring procedures just a bit bizarre....maybe it is coming from the Northeast, but I have never had to deal with panel interviews, etc....and don't expect a response if you send in an application, they don't acknowledge them. Once I did get an acknowledgement, but then never heard anything at all....about the job etc.. and also be prepared that they advertise on careers in the villages, then give you about 1-2 days to submit....again I find very strange human resource departments...both the villages and the district....just my opinion

Same problem my son has run into. Applied every where and most of the interview have been group interviews. Never hears back from them. Target was suppose to be hiring, put in application, had two intervies and he did get rejection lett that they weren't hiring. Good luck on finding a job. Maybe the hire the seniors first. (lol)

Default I was Very Blessed

I just started as the Director of Spiritual Care at TVRH. I am a trained Hospital Chaplain. That helped. I work 20 hours which is perfect. At orientation there were other seniors who also were hired part time. I suggest you Google LRMC and TVRH. A website listing jobs can be accessed from the home page. Good Luck!!!

SallyBow has a good suggestion; I also work at the hospital - you need to keep checking the job postings, etc on the TVHS website.

Also, friend of mine put in an application at the golf course here in TV in October - she heard from them mid-March and started yesterday!

Do the golf courses in TV have a separate website or application process?

Does anyone know if the part-time jobs offered by TV provide some sort of health benefits? Even partial benefits at some cost would be good.

Yes - they are managed by a separate company - they have job postings at Palmer.
