Default Perdido Villas

Had the best of intentions of buying a pre-owned patio villa for seasonal use. Looked at many and they just didn't excite us. So, we ended up doing what we said we were not going to do and buying new and south of 466A and couldn't be happier. We purchased on Nutwood and can't wait to meet new friends!

Hi, neighbor! We' re here until the end of April, so maybe we can introduce ourselves. We'll probably be driving by our house every day until we close!

Hi Pat,
Welcome to the neighbourhood. We are also on Nutwood and like you, opted to buy new instead of a pre-owned. By now, the construction should almost be completed there, as when we left, there was still a lot of activity, dust and noise.
The location is ideal, only a few minutes to Paddock Square and Evans Prairie and Hwy 44 for easy access to Hwy 27.
Unfortunately we are not slated to return until late December after my wife retires, but there is a possibility that I may get back there in late summer (September-ish) for a week or so. We did get a few nights in the villa in March.
Looking forward to meeting our neighbours when we get back for the winter, late Dec 2013- early May 2014

We also won't be back until October, will go back north for the holidays and then be here from Jan- May. My hubby will be looking for golf partners. I think the location is great. We timed it and it's only 2 minutes to the adult pool. As fpor the construction, the villas look like they are almost done and the areas around are just getting started. There is also a lot of commercial construction. We will be a short golf cart ride away from a new Sweetbay grocery store and other stores. Same with the library, which is built but not golf cart accessible yet. Looking forward to meeting you and all our new neighbors.

Sounds great and yes, my wife and I both golf so it would be great to get a neighbourhood golf group on the go. The other great thing is that there are a number of well priced championship courses to try as well, within an hour of Perdido and we have often played with couples from the Villages at these courses.
As you say most things are close and accessible by golf cart. We have played a couple of times at Palmetto Golf course and really enjoy it there. If you like to walk then Palmetto is about 2 miles over the 9 holes.
Even walking to the pool takes no time, as we go there each morning to pick up our newspaper.
Our other passtime is fishing and we will be taking full advatage of the good fishing nearby (e.g. Lake Harris) when we get back in December.
