Default Plumber handyman recommendation

I am new to the villages and looking for someone to install two toilets and get rid of the old ones. Any recommendations?

I would call Mike Scott Plumbing. You may find a handyman to do it cheaper, but I wouldn't hire a handyman to do plumbing work.

I agree with the above comment, also you may need to replace the shutoff valves and the wax seal.

Highly recommend plumber Roger Pearce 352-572-8954. We also had new (toto) toilets installed by Roger when we first bought our villa 3 years ago. He has since done other jobs for us including installing a new hot water heater. Good luck.

As long as flooring good toilets are pretty easy to replace unless not able and have no skills. If so, I would just call licensed plumber, agree Mike Scott’s was good and reasonable used them few years ago when I have back problems. IMO handyman can do good job but I doubt he hauling off old toilets? When I replace mine had to trash company for special pick up, charge was 10 bucks in my area then. IMO I would get simple Standard toilet (IMO American standard has best ratings and easy to replace parts) and not fancy high priced ones, they will just cost more to replace internal tank parts IMO.

I watched this before I made decision which brand to buy.

I had ACE handyman service install our toilet earlier this year. Did a great job and highly recommend. This is a new service that ACE Hardware started in the last year. They do more then just toilets too.

Note that the ACE Handyman service is a franchised business and not connected to any ACE hardware stores. They are just buying the ACE name and they will probably charge more than most independent handymen.

When time to replace, I'm going with Kohler smart unit with Alexa capability. Plus with Bluetooth connectivity, imagine the possibilities. "Alexa, am I clean?" "Alexa, bring the toilet to the kitchen"...17k

Do You Need a Permit to Replace a Toilet in Florida? '-' LegalClarity

Good luck collecting from your insurance company if something goes wrong using an unlicensed person. That is not an outlier result
