Default portable A/C unit for garage

I would like to know if anyone has tryed cooling there garage with a portable AC unit? I don't think The Villages will allow a window type unit. I need something to cool it down when I'm working in there. It's a 2 car + golf cart size. Fans & a well insulation doors etc. just don't get it.

Look for the type of portable A/C units that are used for backing up computer rooms. You will need approval??? to vent through the wall or do a little research and see if you can vent into the attic (moisture might be the problem). Maybe you can tap into your dryer vent if the code allows.Try

Building Materials - Heating, Venting & Cooling - Air Conditioners & Fans*at The Home Depot.

By the way we use this type of AC for computer room backups and they work very well.

Search for portable air conditioners if the link does not work.

Don't forget, there's no insulation in the walls or ceiling
