Hi everyone!
My wife and I have just purchase a courtyard villa in Lake Denham. When the rain is heavy we notice it runs down and through the lanai screen. We are thinking of installing some gutters around the side and back of the house. Has anyone else recently done the same? If so what contractor did you use? Were you happy with their work? Anything we should be aware of, or contractors we should avoid? Etc. Finally, how much would this typically cost? Appreciate everyone’s input and guidance. Thanks, John Russo |

I do expect to call the suggested vendors.
We already have gutters all around. We need the downspouts extended further away from the house.....7 locations......mix of white (house) bird cage attached to house (bronze 6"). Do you know if they do small jobs like this? __________________________________________________ _____ ![]() |

I can second Hills. I also got the 6 inch.

I’ve wondered if it would help more to install 12” or 18” eaves above the rear wall of the lanai, rather than a gutter. Then a lot more of the rain would land away from the house. I assume this would require approval from the ARC. |

I also have a screened in lanai and I also had your problem. I had the gutters installed over the length and it did indeed help. But, when the rain/wind is blowing into the lanai from the north, it still floods. Stipes did the work

We used Stipes for our gutters about 2 1/2 years ago. Very happy with his work and pricing. We went with the 5" gutters on our Designer home. Even in the heaviest rains, and there have been many, the 5" have never come close to being inadequate. One advantage with the 6" is that you would need fewer downspouts. Not really an issue for me, as all downspouts run underground to popups in the yard.
