I was a lurker for a long time before I started posting. Welcome to TOTV! Give yourself time and visit often and you will too fall in love with THE VILLAGES. It took us a long time before we returned from our first 2 visits, but our feelings never changed. It is the place we want to play! Can't wait till next week when we come back down to set things up at our new home.

Default Lots of Maritimers

Welcome fellow Canadian. We are from Ontario and have lived part time in TV since 2009 and love it. We go down for the nice weather Mar-May and Sept-Nov. That way we have nice weather from the first of Mar - the end of November and with Christmas and cleanup we are ready and looking forward to getting back there in March. All our "cold" clothes are in Canada and we are used to Canadian winters so it is what we pay for our 9 months of beautiful weather. And I don't feel "right" having to wear "cold clothes" in Florida especially with all the palm trees and tropical flowers around. Our CYV suits us to a T and is easy to maintain, so it is all fun when we are in TV and we really appreciate all that it offers.

We have met many Maritimers in TV and there is probably a club for them too if that is something you are looking for. In fact there are clubs for anything that interests you. Check out the Rec News online and you will see.

Keep reading and posting. It really helps to keep you in touch with the TV energy when you are up north.

Thank you:
All. For for kind words of hospitality. It reinforces my belief that The Villages today is not what was developed by the Morse Family, but rather it is the people who live there and visit. Good people.

Hello Mainlander, Welcome to TOTV from a wannabee. I am in your country now (specifically Montreal) spending those loonies and toonies for the next 4 days.

Welcome to TOTV. I was born in the Maritimes.

There are many, many Canadians who live seasonally in The Villages. Last year we formed a new Loonies and Toonies Club for Canadians. Within a few months, we had 500 members. There is also a Nova Scotia Club. Please feel free to PM me if you have any questions I can answer.
