Thumbs up We are new here.

Hello, We wish to introduce ourselves, Ellen and Don. We are seriously considering relocating to the villages soon. We had a very pleasant visitation with our great friends who recently purchased a home there. We had the great pleasure of attending the new years celebration there and met very nice people and had a great time. We were just overall totally impressed by the place and residents. Will be looking forward to learning more from this site about the villages.Thanks. Ellen & Don.

Welcome! Hope you find TOTV to be useful for you. It's been a great help to us all along.

Lemme think here......snow in the winter in MA.......no snow in the winter in TV. A prime reason to want to head to TV!!

Enjoy!

Welcome Don & Ellen! We vacationed in TV for three years before buying in Virginia Trace. I recommend doing the same , as you'll learn all about the various villages, houses, etc. and be better able to determine where you want to live and what type of house you want. How far from retirement are you? My wife and I plan to move down permanently in Jan 2013. I see in your profile that you are an HVAC tech. I too am an HVAC contractor from West Springfield, MA. Where in MA are you from?

Hi Ellen and Don,

Participating on TOTV is a great way to learn more about TV and interact with many wonderful TV Bees and Wannabees. (TV Bees: aka frogs)

Is TV all it's cracked up to be?
YES!

Hope you'll join us someday in Lower Paradise.

What you saw during your visit is what you will experience as residents. I had the same impression as you when I moved here ten years ago. I am as enthusiastic as ever. Never had a moments regret.
BTW, a couple who moved in shortly after we did decided the grass was greener in another pasture and moved, and moved, and moved until they thought they had finally moved for the last time. But it wasn't the last time. As soon as they can sell their current home they are coming back to The Villages.
Ya'll come, your going to like it.

Want to express a thank you to all responses we've received. Ducati, we live in a small town called Shirley, Ma adjacent to the old Fort Devens, Ayer, and close by Fitchburg, Leominster areas. I'm a commercial hvac tech and have basically decided I want to finish up career wise down in Florida and maybe do something else for a change.

You definitely came to the right place for the straight scoop on TV. I found this site a few months before we made our first visit over a year ago, and have learned virtually everything I need to know from the good folks here. If you have specific questions ask and ye shall recieve.
