We got Century Link at $45 / month with a no-increase. I don't know if they still have that offer, but we're quite happy with it.

You can get the low-end Xfinity internet for $20/month. You get 25mbp/month, so it's okay for streaming but not if you have multiple devices running at the same time. If you run a few devices at the same time it'll slow things down and you might have sporadic buffering stops in your movies or live TV.

Buy a decent Netgear router and modem, don't rent their gateway, get one that will work efficiently even if you upgrade your internet service. Cut the cord and get a Roku or Amazon stick, and then you can watch limited TV for absolutely nothing, or you can pay to subscribe to any of the services (such as YouTubeTV, Hulu+TV, Netflix, etc).

I have 100 mpbs guaranteed for life for $49 including tax, to get even lower you have give them your credit card for automatic billing, which I didn't do. I have fiber optic with no modem required, just plug your router or computer directly into the wall jack.

Century Link Internet $49 for Life

@OP
You didn't state your location. Note that all of these services suggested here and elsewhere are not available in every location. Depends where you live. Xfinity seems the only common one. Only options we have here (Amelia) is Xfinity (up to 1 gig via cable) and Century Link with circa 1995 DSL service which promised us "up to 25 megs" and we barely got 5 but for "only" another $15 they could "promise us" up to 50 meg and we still barely got 5. They were gone in under 3 days and we were stuck with ComCrap/Xfinity which we have had zero problems with other than I despise them. Wow, do we ever miss Verizon Fios! Some others "offer" service here but when we go to their site we get forwarded to, YEP, ComCrap/Xfinity.
