Default Spruce Creek S

Have met quite a few people lately that sold in TV and moved to Spruce Creek S...anyone know of any people that have?
Was curious to see what the reason was to leave TV to go to Spruce Creek S

Thanx, Lynn

I haven't met anyone that moved from TV to Spruce Creek but like redwitched mentioned more house for the buck, which would be my assumption also.

Now my question is ... You said you've met quite a few that have moved, did you not ask THEM ... WHY??? To me they would have been the ones to ask if you were really interested in getting a non speculative answer.

Do you mean Del Webb Spruce Creek or Spruce Creek South? There's a big difference. I know alot of people who've moved to Del Webb Spruce Creek because of the fact that the houses are much cheaper for the same kind in The Villages, taxes are 1/2 the price as well as insurance & amenties fee. And there's also alot of Villagers golfing there all the time.

What is a lot?
If both the house in TV and a house in Spruce Creek are both in Marion County.....how can the taxes be 1/2?
Why is the insurance cheaper?
Lower amenity fee = less amenities.

Taxes are cheaper b/c there's no Bond added to your tax bill every year and also b/c the houses are a lot cheaper. The golf course lots aren't 150,000 & up that's added onto the cost of your house also. The amenities are basically the same except of course there's less Rec. centers b/c there's less residents. Ins. is less b/c it's a real gated community, the Ins. Co. gives a credit to the owner of the house.

I personally haven't met anyone who moved form TV to Spruce Creek.
1. More house for the money.
2. Less crowded.
3. Expenses for running a house could be a possibility.
4. Stay at home people who don't go out at all.

But they don't have the lifestyle TV enjoys. To each their own.

You get what you pay for.
Sun City Center is way less. Spend a few hours there and you will know why.
There's always something cheaper.

What I've been told from these people who sold in TV to go to Spruce Creek S....said, less congested, you get to know your neighbors because there's only a small percentage of homes, yes 1 rec center, they couldnt afford TV and also didnt use the rec centers, do come to the Squares, less expensive and more house for $$$ and they couldnt afford being in TV

If they already told you, just curious, why are you asking here?

Okay, DougBie, let's split hairs. I'm thinking that the OP knew what the answers were in regards to her friends who left, but was curious to know if others knew who left, and why. A gathering-information post. I could be wrong. I think I was wrong once before, ages ago. It was about frogs in a lake near Hahira, GA. (Pronounced hay hi ra)

I don't know for sure, Lynn's post may indicate that she isn't happy here and is wondering what other people have found elsewhere.

Just my thoughts. If you agree, I'll buy you a Bud. If you disagree, I'll buy you two Buds. (Old joke, I know.)
