UPS / FedEx: Deliver to house or mail center?
We'll be moving into TV the same day both UPS and FedEx will make deliveries. Will these come to the house or to the mail center?
Thanks!

Mine come to my house. I don't need to be there, I find the packages by the front door.

It depends. Sometimes it delivered to the postal station, but most times it comes to our door.

For us, always at the front door.

FedEx house only, unless you specify other delivery.
UPS and Amazon can be either, you will receive an email of where it was delivered.

UPS and Fed Ex both deliver to your house. They’ll leave the package at your door unless it needs a signature. Welcome to TV!

I think it depends on the package size. I've received larger UPS packages at my door, but several times smaller size UPS packages were delivered to the mail station. At the mail station, they may either be in your mail box if small enough or in one of the larger boxes if too large to fit. If that is the case, you will find a special key in your mail box and use that special key to open the large box indicated.

That's not true. It depends on what UPS Service was used by the shipper. If they used UPS SurePost, it will be delivered by the USPS to the mailbox.

If the tracking number begins with a "9" it has been transferred to the USPS and it will most likely be delivered to the postal station. Sometimes, they will deliver a package to your house. If it begins with "1Z" it will be delivered by UPS to your house. If it begins with "TBA" it will be delivered by Amazon to your house. If it is a FedEx package, it will be delivered to your house. The only packages that are ever delivered to the postal station are USPS packages that have a tracking number beginning with "9".

True but not totally true
It depends where you moving to. If it is brand new neighborhood, you will get it in your post office box. No GPS for mails and location. It take us over a year before GPS can find the location. Google maps can’t find the location and WAZE is slightly better. Good luck.

No, it is true. Shipper claim is correct too. Neither is wrong. Sometimes you don't know where it will be delivered but apps for shipments from places like amazon will tell you if your item has been delivered to the "mailbox". Sometimes "mailbox" means someone else's mailbox. The other day a neighbor was kind enough to bring a package to me that was put in his "mailbox." It is a treat when boxes are actually delivered to the doorstep.

House, so UPS. USPS WILL deliver to the house if the package is too big.

You will never see your mail again
If you are moving into the village of Newell. I have Amazon packages, like 20 that are just sitting at USPS. They go running late then delivered today, then running late. I ordered things like curtain rods and shower curtains because my previous place had shower doors. I even ordered dog food. If I can find my house, I would expect USPS to find it. Oh, and I did get a package for a neighbor. Went down and handed it to them. Said hi. Next day usps is at my door asking where the package is. What the heck. How do I sign up for personal service?

Sometimes Amazon will use USPS if it comes from a third party. Mostly, Amazon, UPS, and FedEx come to the house.
