Default Utility costs

On our recent visit the sales rep stated that they are now putting in air conditioning units with a 15 SEER rating. I would appreciate it if someone with one of these units would share what their electric costs were this summer.

New Home empty average bill was $35.00 Once we moved in with temp set at 79 , AC Fans in garage going, lots of Hotwater use it's up to $145.00 a month.

I bet if I had solar Hot Water it would drop.

A friend said his a/c was $200 a month in the summer. He has an older Ranch house.

Generally, the higher the SEER number the more efficient and therefore less costly to operate. Some high end models are up to 20 SEER. Ultra efficient but more expense to purchase.

Would others chime in with what their SEER ratings are.

Boy, those bills sure sound good....plus you have a Cottage Home of which I was wondering how they compared to CYV'S.
