I think the Village with the most happy residents is the Village with the most residents.

Default Neighborhoods

When you first move to a neighborhood everyone is new and tend to do things together but after a year or two people have gone their own way, doing different things and interests and friends and get away from the original friendliness. Our street is quite long, many people have come and gone and everyone has their own agenda. Occasionally we have tried ladies luncheons but there tends to be many cliches and if you're not in one of them they won't have anything to do with the other people on the street. If someone says their street is perfect then there is one person who is setting up all the activities. After awhile you get tired of being the one person who sets things up...no one else takes the initiative so why bother. There are too many people here to worry about your neighbors

Default Thanks for responding

Thanks to everyone who replied. We are getting closer to becoming Villagers. We will be staying again from Oct 1, thru Dec 31. Should get to share in the fun of Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years, plus a shuttle launch on Nov. 1.

If you are going to the coast for the shuttle launch, search thru past posts for good locations to watch it. Can be seen from TV also - just a view from afar.
