Default Our Journey Has Begun

To our TV friends, here is the final update and, yes, it has happened:

My wife, Floss, retired on Thursday, we closed on our MA house on Friday and arrived back in TV that evening and yesterday we celebrated our 34th. What a hectic, but memorable 3 days.

Anyone that has gone through or is going through the process of listing your home for sale knows the whole hosts of anxiety that goes along with doing so. Although we were fortunate to have our home under agreement in a short period, with all of the uncertainty of the real estate market, we really didn't have a strong comfort level that the sale would actually happen. Well, it did and now that we are here in TV, we can relax and enjoy the start of our next journey.

Thanks to all of the positive comments and PM's over the past several months and best of luck to those TOTV members who are selling their property - whether in their home state or here in TV.

Oh DAN!! How wonderful. I completely and throughly understand and I am so delighted for you. This selling a home to move here is NOT for sissies.

Good for you both.

I hope you will enjoy a thousand years here with us in lower Paradise.

Nice post and good sentiments Dan. We will be selling (trying to sell) our Virginia home starting this fall or early spring. And then we have many years of accumulation to decide how to eliminate. Our Villages home is already fully furnished. There are a few pieces we want to keep and even that will be a challenge. But we will probably just have a HUGE yard sale with tractors and cars and trailers and riding mowers and tools and furniture and rugs and on and on. And yes all those bottles of wine.

We understand moving anxiety and your Village excitement, As Bill stated were holding our breath until the closing is over and the check clears.

It's not fun selling a home or like after four years of fustration we , Gave it Away! unless you get to move to " The Villages" like we will be doing next July.

Congratulations Dan and Floss! We went through a similar situation ourselves, so we can understand the anxiety. We're from Mass. too. Hope to see you at the pool or in the neighborhood!

We are new and truly love it. In these few months we have determined the decision to retire and move here was the best decision of our life. Welcome and enjoy.
