Default Fire Hydrant Exercising & Flushing

CH2MHill; the District’s Utility Operation & Maintenance contractor has begun fire hydrant exercising and flushing and will continue this project over the next few months. ^Other than the inconvenience of water streaming from the diffuser at the hydrant, there should be no interruption in service, nor any adverse impact. However at times, flushing can cause a brief disruption of sediment in the lines and cause discoloration or “brown water”. If this does occur it should be temporary and resolved by running the tap for a few minutes until clear. If you have any questions or concerns, please call Bo Widman; C&D Manager with CH2MHill at 352-391-8097.
