Default Multi-Modal Path Markings

The Multi-Modal Path Discussion Group (MMPDG) reviewed and provided unanimous support to move ahead with recommended changes to the multi-modal paths based on a Technical Memorandum prepared by the District Engineer, Kimley-Horn & Associates, Inc. The memorandum specifically addressed striping and reflective pavement markings for the following areas on the multi-modal paths:
• Medians
• Geometrically constrained locations
• Trail-side obstructions
• Roundabouts
Districts 1-4, the Amenity Authority Committee the Project Wide Advisory Committee approved expending funds to move forward with the engineered changes on the multi-modal paths under their purview. Staff anticipates work to begin in April 2016 for the areas north of C.R. 466 and then progress south. To view the memorandum prepared by the Engineer, please click on the header of this announcement.

I doubt that we will be getting edge line marking since the study says it would not serve a documented need, and would cost almost $300,000.
