Default What did you learn today?

I learned the difference between tortellini and tortelloni. I had never even heard the word "tortelloni" until I ate some today. Back in Rooster Poot, we didn't have real Italian food.

Tortelloni are the same shape as tortellini However, loni are larger and stuffed. Now i'm getting hungry.

Tortellini - little pasta stuffed with meat, tortelloni - large pasta stuffed with some vegetable such as spinach and cheese.

Don't worry. You'll fit in just fine here in TV.

SPOILER ALERT!
I learned that the expression "when the fat lady sings" pertains to a traditionally fat woman who sings at the end of an opera.

The expression was put in popular use by a sportscaster in the 70's.

My family has sat through a lot of time-share pitches and I use to tell my kids "it ain't over until the fat man with the pinky ring tries to sell me a weeks vacation".

I am so excited to tell! We learned how to make cream puffs in Lyon, France! We're on a Viking river cruise celebrating our 25th and took a cooking class today in the back of a beautiful book store packed with nothing but cookbooks! It's been an amazing day!
