Tippy, I'm sorry that you are offended by my comments. Actually there has been a lot of discussion asking why women would torture and maim themselves by wearing stilettos and frequently the conclusion is that it enhances their self esteem and sexual desireablity. I suggest you google the question so that you can see than I'm not alone in my opinion. We have become slaves to Madison Avenue and having to conform to what the latest trend is no matter what the cost. IMHO

I doubt if I could even walk a football field length in high heels. Do not know how you ladies can do it? Not sure I would want my butt in the air either like with many of the models I see in high heels in various magazines. I guess many men though still see the butt in the air caused by high heels as sexually attractive.

Maybe, someone should write a little ditty based on pants on the ground song by General Larry Platt (from American Idol Season 9) but adapt it to butt in the air.

Butt in the air.
Butt in the air.
Looking like a fool with your butt in the air.

While your spine misaligns.
You give people signs.
So you can eggsplain things with your leg.
So your kids do not have to beg.
Just by showing a lot of leg.
So you can catch a beau.
Or, maybe some blow.
Or, go to the show.
But, you sure do run slow.
When you really gotto go.

Butt in the air.
Butt in the air.
Looking like a fool with your butt in the air.

Anyway, you get the idea. Heh, I should have been an English major.

Default Where are the English majors when you need a critique?

The dangers of wearing high heeled shoes

Are not English major jokes appropriate on TOTV anymore? Had hoped this poem would get more of a feedback.

This poem is written by a man, me, but I worked or volunteered in a profession that is still predominately female--librarianship. So, I have been around women in working environments quite a bit. Almost none though working in a library with high heels on unless they were on their way out to some formal function or a hot date.

I just want my $10.00 Jack Purcell canvas sneakers.....remember how your feet would overheat in them, and the bottoms were smooth so when you wore them in wet weather you could fall?

Is it a big brother to "Pants on the Ground"?

"Looking like a fool with your pants on the ground"

I suppose it would be a much younger brother to "Pants on the Ground".

Mine works on the song from American Idol Season 9's Larry Platt's audition. He looked like he was about 50 though. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Larry_Platt
