Young grandkids visiting for Thanksgiving. Has anyone visited petting zoo in Ocala? We know about Uncle Donald's farm close to The Villages.

There's a Groupon for Ocala petting zoo and want to know if it's worth the trip.

When my grandsons visited last year, 3 and 2 also, we went to the petting zoo in Ocala and it was old, sick animals, not something I would recommend. Uncle Donald's farm was fun! We did visit one of the fire stations here and the firemen were great! The boys even got a fire hat. We did take the boys to Ocala to an inside play area off HWY 200. They had a lot of good play areas, contained in one very large room, so the boys were always in line of sight. Sorry can't remember the name, but if you check google for children's playroom or something similar you should find it. Have fun with your grands!

Sorry to be so late in responding, but I was having trouble posting on TOTV. I hope my information will give you some ideas.

The Saturday after Thanksgiving, Happy Horse Farm in Weirsdale is having an open house. There will be pony rides, Petting zoo, lots of animals for the kids to view, music, food and door prizes.

This is a rescue farm so anything you can do to support them, would be appreciated.
